Dr. Alicia Burke is a leading Los Angeles Chiropractic practitioner who is dedicated to the complete health and well being of her patients, family and friends. She has been involved with the field of chiropractic since 1999.

Dr. Burke was raised in a small town in Oklahoma where she was active in basketball throughout high school and college, receiving numerous athletic awards. She was recruited to play for the Oklahoma State University Basketball team on an athletic scholarship. It was at OSU that Dr. Burke made her most prestigious athletic accomplishment; NCAA 3pt percentage record holder her senior year.
With a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education and Health in hand, Dr. Burke relocated to Los Angeles to teach at inner-city schools and later became the Athletic Director for the East Los Angeles school district.
A low back disc injury and two ankle surgeries prompted her seek the treatment from a a chiropractor after repeated conventional treatment failed.
Impressed by the improvement in her health and function following Chiropractic care, Dr. Burke planned a career path in which she could help others the way she was helped.
She graduated Cum Laude with a Doctorate Degree from Life Chiropractic College West, a leading chiropractic college in San Francisco. She was awarded Excellence in Clinic for Outstanding Patient Care throughout clinic internship, and was named Chiropractic Student of the Year 1997.
Dr. Burke has been involved with the field of chiropractic for over 16 years, specializing in sports injuries, family wellness care, auto injuries, work injuries and pregnancy.
Dr. Burke is also certified to perform manipulation under anesthesia and has worked with pain management centers in Orange County and in the Los Angeles area. In addition, Dr. Burke was a team member at Pacifica Hospital focusing on pain-management and the rehabilitation of patients. Dr. Burke has also worked with a busy orthopedic clinic as a follow-up physician, over-seeing post surgical patients and their therapies. She gives health talks and attends courses and seminars, staying up-to date with the latest technology and advancements in the field of Chiropractic.
Dr. Burke has enjoyed a high success rate with stabilizing displaced spinal discs. She has adopted and mastered examination methodology to aid pinpointing the source of disc pain and uses the flexion distraction technique.
Dr. Burke is also an Associate Clinical Professor at Southern California University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Burke maintains a license to practice Chiropractic in California. She has also completed the National Boards Parts I, II, III, IV and Physiotherapy examinations accepted throughout the United States.
She is active and enjoys running marathons and half marathons. In the last few years she has trained with AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA). Dr. Burke ran several races in the last few years including Honolulu, Hilo, Florence, Italy, Paris France and Los Angeles marathons. She also enjoys snow boarding, hiking , and of course, basketball.
