What is Fibroblast Skin Tightening

This innovative technology is aimed at lifting and tightening tissue. Known as the non-surgical eyelid lift or lip flip, the plasma treatment uses an electrical arc to the skin giving an immediate tightening effect to the surrounding skin. Areas suitable for treatment include upper and lower eyelids, upper lip, chin, nasolabial folds, jowls/jawline, crow’s feet, tear troughs, necklines, scars, loose skin, and forehead lines. Depending on the area, swelling varies. Full results are seen after 12 weeks.

How Does Fibroblast Skin Tightening Work?

Plasma Skin Tightening involves the use of a plasma pen device and its probe. This innovative device harnesses natural plasma, an ionized gas, creating an arc of nitrogen and oxygen between the tip of the Plasma Pen and the skin's surface.

During the Fibroblast Skin Tightening procedure, the plasma flash generated by the device gently interacts with the epidermis without direct contact, producing heat and removing oxygen from the skin's surface. This process does not ablate or vaporize the epidermis but instead eliminates moisture, forming a layer of dried skin that aids in the healing process.

The desiccated tissue not only enhances skin resilience to the device's electricity but also guides the plasma to untreated areas. The heat generated during this process breaks down collagen in the dermis, prompting fibroplasia - the body's natural wound-healing response. Fibroplasia boosts fibroblast activity, stimulating the production of new collagen.

Effectiveness

Plasma skin tightening prompts immediate contraction of collagen fibers upon skin contact with heat. This contraction visibly improves skin laxity while reducing wrinkles, fine lines, and crow's feet. We recommend complementing the treatment with our science-based skincare line, NeoGenesis, for long-lasting results.
